It’s school holidays here and in true school holiday style we have all come down with colds. So there is plenty of movie watching and Lego making going on. For me it’s a chance to sit down and try some crochet I’ve been wanting to do for ages. Sewing with a cold, for me, is not that productive, crochet on the other hand, is. So I got onto the website Planet June, and started on her free patterns. If you want to start crocheting this website is a great place to start. June has lots of video clips demonstrating her various techniques, she also includes left handed tutorials, which I’ve never come across before. I’ve been crocheting for years and I still learn a few things from her.

So far I have made the tiny whale, apple and pear. I can see a fruit bowl by the end of the week!

I’ve also been playing around with a photo app on my iPad, not sure if it improves the iPhone pics but it does make them a little more interesting!

What do you like to do when you’re confined to the couch?
