Felt Foxes, a photo by MandyMade on Flickr. Crafting for me lately has been mainly dreaming about what I want to make rather than the actual making. Too much other stuff going on, house reno, more stress at the real job and school holidays always stuff the routine around. Hopefully it will all settle down soon and there will be more making going on. While the sewing machine is packed away at the moment I did get a little hand sewing time in the...
These are the fabric pieces I received for the Umbrella Prints Trimmings competition. You can read more about the competition here. I’m really excited and nervous to be part of it. I’m not sure what to make yet, but better get a move on. What can you see these lovely prints turning into? Are you also joining in? If so we’d love to hear from you. share this:EmailPrintFacebookTwitterGoogle...
Wow where has this year gone? April already? It’s been very quiet on the sewing front for me so far this year. I’ve been concentrating on a bit of a house reno. Which will ultimately give me the craft space i need. But until then, it’s all about the home. I am starting the think of Mother’s Day though. I have a few ideas of what to make my Mum this year and what the kids can make her and Nan. Do you have a crafty...
We have had some great feed back on the kids money cuffs and request for Adult ones. I’m happy to oblige as I like to take an early morning run and often take some cash to by some fresh bread for the days lunches. So far I’ve made two types. This one was my first trial. You can wear the zip hidden or reverse with it showing. I also added press studs for a different look. But I wasn’t totally happy with the finish and by having...
So, I don’t know about you but getting the kids off to school and kinder has been crazy. I feel like things can now get back to normal and routine can sink back in. In saying that I had time to upload some items into our Made It store. First was some cute Owl Pouches. These have been a bit of a hit on Pinterest They make great little gifts I’ve discovered my 6 year old has had a few party’s and I’ve popped some lip gloss...
We have done a bit of an overhaul of the look of our blog. It’s still being fine tuned. What do you think? The fabric basket in the photo is one of many I am making for my craft storage. That’s what I’ve been making in previous posts, did you guess? share this:EmailPrintFacebookTwitterGoogle...
…and ready for quilting. Can you guess what I’m making? I had to buy more solid grey for the lining (was that a hint?), doesn’t warrant a photo, not that exciting. It was 325g. So my fabric count is: -3746g – 325g = -4071g. I’m really hoping this project will end up weighing a lot! share this:EmailPrintFacebookTwitterGoogle...
